Invasive Plants |

Many development sites across the UK now contain highly invasive and problematic plant species including Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam and Giant Hogweed.
The presence of these plants on a development site not only carries legal implications, but also cost implications if not properly managed.
Probably the most vigorous plant, and indeed the species that is most likely to have the longest term impact is Japanese Knotweed, which if not properly treated can spread rapidly, dominating landscaped areas and even causing physical damage to light structures.
There is a range of eradication options available for the treatment of invasive plants, each with its own merits, pitfalls and cost and time implications.
Landscape Planning is sensitive to the requirements of project timetables and fully appreciates the cost implications of some treatment methods. This is where the proper planning of the treatment process with the knowledge and experience of our consultants can be invaluable in your particular circumstance.
